In 2016 I found myself and my two children living in a women's shelter after leaving my abusive husband of 10 years. I had finally said to myself, “enough is enough.” I left with no clothes, no money, just an old beat up car and my kids. My family in Vietnam was relying on me to send them $100/month. My children were 1 and 3 years old at the time. I was at rock bottom with no money, and not a clue how to make it because I had been a stay home mom for those 10 years, but I had a fire lit under my ass.
After leaving the women's shelter, I was living on government assistance and I had two little kids to feed and provide for. I decided to do the next thing I could to start being able to feed and care for my kids. So, I went to learn to do nails, but soon realized cleaning dirty feet wasn't for me. I learned to do facials at a business owned by a husband and wife, but the wife thought the husband liked me and I was fired. Next I tried to work as a massage therapist but when a customer asked me for a “Happy Ending” I was horrified. I thought that only happened in the movies. Ew! No way. So that wasn't for me either.
Still living on government assistance, I began to teach myself how to do eyelashes by watching YouTube videos because I couldn't afford the tuition for lash extension training at that time. In the beginning I did anyone I could for free out of my apartment. Eventually I began charging and had enough money and experience to rent a room in a real beauty salon. This was when I finally began to make real money and eventually saved enough money to get formally trained on doing lashes.
Finally I was able to take care of myself and my kids. I stopped receiving Government assistance because I wanted to be a better example for my kids. I saved up even more and got trained in permanent makeup so that I could add that service to my business. This grew until eventually I rented my own building, remodeled it, hired staff and grew my business so big we expanded to TWO locations. It was incredible!
But my story doesn’t end there. In 2018 I went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with cancer. This was both a curse and a blessing. It really woke me up. At that time I knew that if you’re stressed you'll be sick and I realized that everything I had built was to gain the approval of others and this seeking of approval was making me sick.
When I left my husband my parents told me over and over that I could never make it in life without a man. I had been determined to show them they were wrong. And I did, but the ‘why’ behind working hard was me seeking their approval. I believe that's what caused me to become sick. I didn’t want to seek approval anymore. That’s when I began learning how the mind works. I learned meditation, became a reiki master, and began meditating everyday. I needed to live my life in a more holistic way. I needed to have peace in my mind. I needed to know that I am enough and that I don't need anyone's approval to feel enough.
I slowed down in life and I switched to running my business from new energy. I was no longer trying to prove myself. I felt more peaceful. I began to know who I am and what it was I wanted.
This is a much better way to live your life. It felt so much better to live my life from a clean ‘why’ and not the dirty ‘why’.
I learned the hard way, dirty ‘why’ will burn you out. A clean ‘why’ will help you build a successful and sustainable business and enable you to live your life with ease.
Today I have successfully built and sold two businesses. I own my own home. I don’t have to hustle so much. I have time to spend with my kids. We go out to breakfast together, we get our hair done together, and I have time and energy to prioritize play time with my kids. Through this process I became much more resilient. I’m not afraid to try new things and take on new challenges. I prioritize managing the mind. I’m open to making mistakes and commit to having my own back even when I fail. I’ve learned failing is inevitable if you want to continue to evolve yourself and that failure isn’t a bad thing; it’s simply a part of your growth process.

When/how will the calls take place & what if I can’t make it live?
We will schedule all your calls at the beginning of the program. If you need to change your call time please give me no less than 24 hour notice and we will reschedule your call. If you miss your call without 24 hour notice you will forfeit that session.
How much time will this program take?
This is a 3 month program that includes 3 live 60 minute calls per month.
How many people will be in this program?
This is a one-on-one program. Meaning every call is just you and me. You will have my undivided attention on every call.
What is your refund policy?
If my PMU Business Accelerator isn’t blowing your mind, opening your eyes to what’s possible in your business, and building your confidence within the first 30 days of our coaching contract, a full refund will be issued. After the first 30 days, no refunds will be issued.
